About Us
Allesbien was born in 2022 out of a longing for community. Our journey began with a simple yet powerful vision: to create a space where dykes* of diverse backgrounds, genders, ages, beliefs, and identities could come together, connect, and celebrate lesbian culture.
By gathering around various activities and topics that are dear to us, we want to foster solidarity and visibility of the lesbian and bi community in Berlin. What started as a small group of motivated people has grown into a larger dynamic group, driven by our shared passion.
There are no formal memberships; instead, we extend an open invitation to all who wish to join us to do so. Whether you’re a lifelong activist, a baby dyke*, or simply someone passionate about the cause, we would be thrilled to see you join!
Behind the scenes, the dedicated orga-team works tirelessly to curate a diverse array of events and activities designed to cater to every interest. Currently, our orga-team comprises 15 dedicated individuals, loosely divided into work-teams focused on events, communications, and budgeting.
From social gatherings and cultural outings to workshops and discussions, we hope to offer something for everyone. All events and activities are run 100% by volunteers and funded through donations. We love to collaborate with local artists and other grassroots initiatives!
Most of our events are in English, but attendees usually come from everywhere and speak German, French, English, and many more languages.
Perfection is a journey, not a destination. While we may not always see things the same way, we’re all committed to fostering a safer, more inclusive space for everyone. Allesbien values continuous growth and learning, embracing the diverse perspectives of our community as we strive towards greater intersectional inclusivity.
